Hello,

I just had an appraisal done on my engagement ring so that I can get it insured and found out it has a small crack on one of the corners.  Will the insurance company still insure me and if so, would they cover the cost of getting the crack repaired?

Thanks for writing.

The Insurance Company will insure you if the appraisal was written by an Independent Appraiser that is a Graduate Gemologist (not the store it was purchased from.
Also you can submit a claim if you were covered by an Insurance Company when the damage to your Diamond was discovered. Not prior to obtaining coverage.
