QuestionHi, I bought,some years ago, two rubies that came with certification through GEMDATA and GIA. The rubies came packed in acrylic containers and said that one ruby was 1.29 ct and the other was 1.48 ct. I would dearly love to sell these stones and I don't know how to go about it. Could you give me some advise as to what to do? Thanks so much!
AnswerThe cirtification will be very important by grading the rubies...I waould say look for 3 offers...
try to see what comparables are selling for,...perhaps try eBay once a gemologist gives you waht the value should be...
also gold smiths that make up there own work may be interested both in buying and referring you to buyers...hope this helps some.
