Restore Tarnished Costume Jewelry: A Professional Guide

I have some peices of beautiful costume jewellery which are starting to go a coppery colour.  I desperately want to find a way of restoring the silver/ gold colour on various peices.  I have tried a metallic paint but it is too bright and cheap looking.

Any guidance you could give would be very much appreciated!

Hello Nikki and thank you for your inquiry. It's difficult to tell what is affecting your jewelry not knowing what type of metal is involved. However, the following is a url for a produce called Jewelry Joose that I have been successful in using for my jewelry cleaning. You might have better luck with it. I've never had any luck with using paint or lacquers. So hard to get the color to match. I have had luck using nail polish to touch up enamels but only lightly. Here is the url for the cleaners.
