QuestionI am 21 years old. Yesterday I had my annual gynecological exam at 2:00pm, I have been bleeding ever since. It is not a heavy flow, but enough for a pantiliner. Is this something I should be concerned about? (it is now 11:20 am). Also, the doctor told me I definitely have a yeast infection, and I might have had it for quite a long time. How is it possible that I didn't know about this? There was no itching or discharge, but he said it was definitely a yeast infection.
AnswerHi Danielle,
Bleeding a little after an exam is ok. But bleeding for more than a day is not.
It is interesting that you don't feel or see anything that hints that you have an infection.
I suggest you take a second opinion before taking or using any medication.
Make an appointment by another gynecologist. Tel him/her that you have been bleeding ever since seeing your Doc. Also, have a checkup to see if you actually do have a vaginal yeast infection.
I wish you the best of luck!
Please update me on what the gyn says,
Diana
