QuestionI had jaw pain and a swollen lymph node. The ER gave me zithromax for 3 days, the pain went away but before my last day with the zithromax, I noticed a bump on the inside of my cheek which I though was a pimple, I pushed on the outside of my cheek, and on the inside where the bump was, there was something poking out very thin, like fishing wire, of course it was not fishing wire though. A lady at my work told me that she had a bone splinter in her mouth one time, and described it as the same way I just did, she took tweezers and pulled it out, I tried to pull it out but when I did I think it was mushy. But like I said when I push on the outside of my cheek it comes out hard, thin, and white on the inside. I went back to the ER with this and they didn't really care to listen. Can you tell me what you think this is. As of now I am only feeling pain where the "thing" is. In my head I am thinking it is something serious, but I hope it is just something simple. I am having chest pain, and back pain also, not chest pain where my heart is, but I guess on the bone there, I dunno. Please help.

Thank you for writing me keeping in mind I am not a doctor so my best advice to you would be to go see a doctor. And not the one in the ER if you have a regular doctor I would go see them and let them x-ray your cheek just to help set your mind at ease.
