Paxil During Pregnancy: Risks and Safety Concerns

I am pregnant from 7 months. I am diagnoised with anxiety disorder. The doctor prescribed Paxil for me. Do you think it is safe for the baby if I take it during pregnancy? If he is safe physcially but is he mentally healthy in the future?

Hi Angela,
sorry for the delay, puter problems. Sometimes when the sypmtoms are severe enough, they will go ahead and use meds and watch for problems carefully. Is your anxiety to the point of needing meds? Because sometimes getting some counseling and talking about what may be causing it may help you stay off meds? this is not a bad idea, it is great to avoid meds that might be harmful.
