Understanding Premature Labor at 29 Weeks: Risks & Prevention

Question
I am 29 weeks pregnant.
Two days ago my doctor did an internal exam and found my cervix to be at -4, and I have had Braxton Hicks contractions for a few weeks.
What is my risk of going into premature labour and how can I try to prevent it?
I  have a 23 month daughter at home, so "no lifting" can only be implemented so far...
I'll be staying home as of next week.
Thanks
Jackie

Answer
Hello Jackie. Well, you do need to rest and no intercourse for the rest of the pregnancy. You need to drink LOTS of raspberry LEAF tea, eat LOTS of protein like meat, fish, eggs, yogurt, chicken and lots of dark colored vegetables. Avoid nipple stimulation and it would be a good idea not to have orgasms for the next 11 weeks. Learn to play on the floor with your little one so she doesn't ask to be lifted so much. Hope that helps- Cheri.
