Answer -
It could be some inflammation of your ribs or some "bleb" in your lungs. The X-ray will show if there is any lung involvement. I do not know how it can be related to your kidney or liver. YOu will have to consult an internist for that. As long as you have ruled out pituitary adenoma (with a normal prolactin level) you need not worry.
Answer -
Inflammation of the ribs can be caused by a cold or viral illness. If the pain persists, consult an internist and get a chest X-ray.

Answer
Sometimes, when you get a virus, you can have a sore throat, or you can have a stomach virus that causes diarrhea or stomach aches. Well, you can also have a virus that causes an inflammation to your ribs (like a cold in your ribs). If you get a severe cold, or upper respiratory illness, you can have a little bubble in your lungs that can "pop" and cause some discomfort. I would suggest that you have an exam with a doctor of internal medicine as well as a chest X-ray. Then you will know what is going on.
