AnswerIt is quite common to have a white discharge throughout the pregnancy. This discharge usually will increase in thickness as you approach term. HOwever, as long as there is no itching or foul smell to it, it is normal. On the other hand, if it is a thick, cheesy-white discharge with intense itching, it may be a yeast infection and you can use Monistat-7 cream to alleviate the itching. If it has a foul odor to it, it may be a bacterial infection and you can use Flagyl suppositories or Cleocin suppositories to cure the infection. Otherwise, there is not much that can be done while you are pregnant. It will not cause any effect on the baby.
