Possible Pregnancy Symptoms: Late Period & Negative Test - What To Do?

I have a year old son who i still breast feed. I just started having my periods about 4 months ago. most of the time my periods last 5 to 7 days and are heavy, but last month it only lasted 3 days.I havent even had a period for august and the month is almost over. I am not feeling any signs that i am ever going to start this month. I was thinking i was pregnant but when i took a test it did not say otherwise. did I take the test too early and can still be pregnant or am i just kiddin myself and probably not pregnant. please help me

You did not mention when you started your last period, so I can't determine when you ovulated and when you could have conceived. Often, if you are breast feeding, you will not get regular cycles of up to a year after you stop nursing. A three day period is perfectly normal, no matter how long your peeriods used to be. If you took a pregnancy test seven days after missing your period, and it was negative, you are not pregnant.
