Persistent Bleeding After Anal Sex & Irregular Periods: Potential Causes & What to Do

My husband and I tried anal sex in our marriage before the last time was many months ago, but now everytime I go to the bathroom and (ya know) it bleeds all the time. What casuses this to happen every time?

Also I am on birth control and I started spotting earlier in my pack of pills not when I am suppossed to and I started spotting on the 10th and aroung the 17 I started bleeding really heavy do you know what the cause of this could be?

You may have developed a fissure in your rectum that is causing the bleeding, or you may merely have a hemorrhoid that can bleed. I would suggest that you check it out with your doctor.  If you are on birth control pills and are having breakthrough bleeding on cycle day #10 and 17, the pills may not be strong enough for you. Discuss it with your doctor and, perhaps, increase the amount of estrogen in the pill. I would suggest OrthoNovum 1/35, which should regulate your cycle.
