Pregnancy After Tubal Ligation: Understanding Risks & Possibilities

I am 32years old have 4 beautiful kids.And my last menstral was may 23 2005.I have 2 questions .For the past 3 days my left side has been aching and that never happend.And Have you ever heard of a woman becoming pregnate while her tubes were tied the pomroy method.Thats what i have.Thank you very much.

If you had a Pomeroy tubal ligation, it is highly unlikely that you could have become pregnant, unless the tubal ligation was incorrectly done, or if you "recanalized" in your tube. If your last period started on May 23, you are due for your next period on June 19. If you do not get your period by June 26, take a pregnancy test. If the test is negative, you are not pregnant. A pain on one side or the other can be due to many different causes from muscle aches to ovarian cysts. It does not indicate pregnancy. Unless you miss your next period, I would not even consider pregnancy as a possibility.
