Burning Sensation During Urination: Causes & Relief

I wan to know what causes you to burn when you pee, I am on my period now and it just stared the other day. If you had sex with someone 2 months ago and 2 days later you got tested for STDs and it was neg. could it be possible for it to show up two months later?

If you have burning on urination, you may have developed a urinary tract infection (bladder infection). A UTI can cause burning on urination, frequency of urination, and urgency (the feeling of having to urinate but nothing comes out). YOu should get a urine culture and sensitivity at a lab. If there are more than 100,000 colonies of bacteria, you will have to be treated with an antibiotic. Unless you are noticing lesions on your vulva or an abnormal vaginal discharge, I doubt that you have any STDs.
