Can Fallopian Tubes Regrow After Tubal Ligation?

i was just curious... i heard that if you have your tubes cut and burned that the tubes can grow back together,i had mine done 4 and a half years ago,and someone told me that they have heard of this happening,i have 3 kids already and i was just curious,thanks

The fallopian tubes do not grow back once they have been burned or cut. It is impossible to become pregnant once the tubes have been burned and cut. In the past, some tubal ligations were performed by creating a loop in each tube and tying this loop with a suture and cutting off the distal portion of the loop. This allowed "recanalization" at the bottom of the loop and subsequent pregnancy (less than 1%). HOwever, once we started cauterizing (burning) and cutting the tubes, this cannot occur. If your tubes were cauterized and cut, there is no way you can become pregnant again. don't worry.
