Baby Dropped at 8 Months & 5cm Dilated: What to Expect During Bedrest

I'm 8 months pregnant, and my baby has dropped. I'm already 5 centimeters dilated. I'm on bedrest. How long do you think i'll last?

Hi Arika,

It sounds like you are really close to having your baby.  If you are already 5cm, it sounds like within days you will have your baby.  As you know, anything below 36 weeks is considered pre-term.  So, stay on strict bedrest to ensure that your baby will be as healthy as he/she can be.  Good luck!
