Mirena IUD & Irregular Bleeding: What to Expect

My question is, I currently have a Mirena IUD and have had it for one year. My last period however was in July, about 6 months ago. Not that I am complaining but...Is that fairly normal? When I first got it I bled nonstop for at least 4 weeks. Any info would be greatly appreciated. FYI I have two children.

Yes, this is very normal with the Mirena IUD. After the initial 3-6 months, there is usually a 90% reduction in menstrual bleeding and about 20% of Mirena users experience no periods at all (according to the manufacturer).
