Corpus Luteum Cyst Pain After D&C and Birth Control - What to Do?

In February, I had an ectopic pregnancy. I was given a D&C and no pregnancy tissue was found. Therefore, I was given the methotrexate shot and 2 weeks ago my levels were back to zero. At the same time, I had a very painful corpus luteum cyst. About a week and a half ago my doctor started me on BC pills (2 a day) to try to shrink the cyst. I was feeling well for a while but now my lower back, hip and abdominal pain has returned. I am quite uncomfortable. Should I give the pills more time to work or am I being paranoid?

If you are "quite uncomfortable", I would call your doctor again. Another intervention may be necessary, but if the pain is enough that it is interfering with your daily life, then you do need to seek appropriate treatment to fix the problem.
