Jaundice and Fertility: Understanding the Link for Women

If as a teenage girl I had jaundice, can it make me infertile as an adult? I was young and do not remember all the details and my mom passed away a few years later but my older sister has scared me by saying that she remembers hearing that it could or would make me infertile.When I devoloped jaundice 15yrs of age I was not sexually active nor did i use needles, drugs or have any tattoos .I also had no surgery that could have caused this.Just wanted to fill you in on that to rule out the hepatitis viruses

Its a very wrong notion to say that the Jaundice that you had at the age of 15 yrs will affect you to become infertile. There is no scientific evidence to say so. hence dont listen to such tales and in case you are suffering from Infertility its your hormonal or other physiological issues that need evaluation and not blame jaundice for it. take care & God Bless.
