QuestionI had an appointment today, and my Dr. couldn't find my baby's heartbeat. He says the baby has died. I am not convinced, and want a second opinion. I am about 10-11 weeks along. He wants to send me for some procedure, like an abortion. I want to be SURE before doing something so drastic! Can you please give me some advice?

You can seek another sonographic examination by an experienced sonographaer if you do not feel comfortable with your doctor's diagnosis. In some occasions, it is possible to wait for 1 week and have a repeat ultrasound to confirm diagnosis.
Missed abortion is an exception. Once diagnosed should be evacuated to avoid its serious possible consequences on your health.
