Answer
Hi Debbie.  Looking at your lab results, the only things that are abnormal are : 1) You have a small amount of WBC (white blood cells) in your urine.  Many normal urine contain WBCs, so since all the other results are normal, I'd say this is normal also.  2) Your potassium level is only very slightly low.  This also can be normal for you, since all your other electrolytes (which are sodium, potassium, chloride, and cardon dioxide) are normal also.  3) Your brain natriuretic peptide (BNP) is elevated.  Now, I'm not sure of your age and past medical history, so I can't say for sure.  But BNP can be an indicator for congestive heart failure (CHF).  Like I said, BNP can increase with age, and your level is only a little high (normal is less than 100), so you may want to check with your doctor on this one.  Hope this helps.  Good luck!

Samantha
