IUI After Blocked Fallopian Tube: Success Rates & Options
Questioni have just had a laparoscopy which showed that i have a blocked left tube. unfortunately it is totally blocked and therefore nothing can be done. i am being referred for iui. however i have read on another site that iui doesnt work with a blocked tube - does this mean tubes? i didnt think it would be an issue taking into account the procedure for iui.
hope you can help
AnswerIf you have one open tube, you can still get pregnant. IUI is an option, but the success rate is fairly low, around 20%. Your doctor can also advise you what to do if that doesn't work. Some people need to have the blocked tube removed to conceive. Good luck.
