QuestionHello Dr,
i was wondering if you know if theres any risk in using KY Jelly Vaginal Inserts during 1st month of pregnancy? Those inserts are made to relieve vaginal dryness. They are kind of long (about an inch longer then the avarage tampon, therefore go far inside the vagina. I sometimes have cramps after using them. Is that dangerous for early pregnancy?
Thank you for your time
AnswerHello,
KY insert are fine as long as you are not too vigorous in putting them in i.e. you don't want to shove them against your cervix. Any irritation to the cervix can cause cramping. If you are using them for intercourse, I would recommend that you use the gel instead of the inserts.
