Vaginal Development: When Does the Vagina Open?

Hello:

At what age does the vagina start as a closed structure and then canalizes or opens up?

I assume a newborn has a closed vagina, but at some age it begins to develop.

Hello,

Women (girls) are born with an open vagina.  It canalizes within the womb during development.
