IUI & Progesterone: Timing & Pregnancy Chances - Expert Advice

Question
I recently had an IUI the day after I had a positive OPK. My
Dr. instructed me to start using 200mg progesterone
suppositories two times a day starting the day after the
IUI. I chart my basal body temperature and my chart is
reading that I ovulated the day after IUI (the first day I
started the progesterone.) Is there any chance I could get
pregnant this cycle or will taking the progesterone a day
early prevent it from happening?

Answer
Hello Mya from the U.S.,

Progesterone is used to help with implantation and maintain the pregnancy if it should occur.  It should not interfere with your ability to get pregnant if taken as you were instructed.
