QuestionDr. Thai
I have written to you before about this but I thought I would give you an update and maybe you could offer more guidance.
I am 48 and I have a very pronounced abdomen.I also have shortness of breath when I bend down to tie my shoes, etc.
My doctor can find nothing wrong with me,he has run several tests including a sigmoidoscopy and barium enema.
He suggested taking probiotics and eating yogurt, which I do,but it doesnt help much.
Thinking I might have some type of carbohydrate sensitivity, I have gone for three months on a low glycemic diet.I even stopped all alcohol. This didnt help.
Should I try cutting out meat and dairy? The only milk I take is a little in my coffee and tea,and I dont eat a lot of meat and cheese.
By the way,I am quite fit and physically active.I look like your typical overweight middle age guy but my belly is as hard as rock-it just sticks way out.
Thanks for any insights.
AnswerHi Bud,
Due to the number of questions I answer on this forum and patients I see everyday, it is very difficult for me to remember your exact situation since it is over the internet. May you please resend your question with a quick reminder of your past and current situation.
Thank you.
