Post-Herpetic Neuralgia (PHN) from Shingles: Symptoms & Relief

Question
I was 55 yrs when I got Shingles.  I am now 64.  The Shingles was on my R.H. forehead and went into my hair.  I took acyclovir so it was supposed to be short lived and less painful.  The problem is that I still have residual burning and tingling and altho it is not painful it is very aggravating and it looks as tho I am always scratching my head  . This is a kind of habit now, but it only makes it burn more.  I have tried Neuprontin but it does not seem to touch it.  I wondered if Botox would help since it is injected into a nerve.. or if there was anything new for this since it appears to be increasing among Baby Boomers.

Answer
We have found success with high dose acyclovir, B-100 and high dose omega-3 fish oil capsules four times a day plus stopping all latex containing foods like bananas, figs, kiwi and nuts plus the plant oil foods like poultry, chips, granola, flax and soy
