How long can this condition last.no pain
Vein tender and area swollen

that sounds like superficial thrombophlebitis...a  surface vein getting inflamed.... it goes away in a couple of weeks and doesn't cause blood clots to the lung like the deep vein problems can..... we usually prescribe aspirin, elevation and some time.....
