Question Doctor do you have any thoughts on if Chiropractic care, especially with a laser is of benefit for carpal tunnel?? I have done all of the conventional methods, splints, pills, B6 vitamin' even steriod shots, nothing helped. I do know my last resort is surgury but didnt know if you heard anything about this laser treatment?
AnswerI think chiropractic care is appropriate for a lot of musculoskeletal conditions... standard physical therapy type treatments. But if other methods aren't working for CPTS, you probably need a carpal tunnel release. (Surgery)
I would not let a chiropractor get anywhere near me or my patients with a laser. And, there is no science whatsoever that this would be appropriate for CPTS.
Now if you actually mean laparoscopic surgery instead of laser, that is the way to go... typically a plastic surgeon or hand orthopedist does this.
