QuestionGood Afternoon,
I am quite concerned about my husband although he is dismissing this as nothing...I hope I am wrong. We were just at the grocery store, and while in line he started pacing and just saying his toes hurt. This went on for about 10-12 minutes. When we were leaving the store it was still going on and then started in the other foot. On both feet it was the center toe only. He kept moving around repeating "got to walk, got to walk" We waited about 7-8 minutes more before leaving. I understand anybody can get a charlie horse in different parts of the body, but I have never heard of one starting in one foot and then to both.
He is a 49 year old male who is eplieptic, eats junk food, and drinks. So I realize that anything is possible with him
Any thoughts or suggestions you may have would be appreciated.
Thank you so very much,
Susan
AnswerWell... to start... drinking and epilepsy just do not go well together.
With the pain being in both feet, it makes me worry about a circulation problem to the legs. This can also be muscle cramps from low potassium, low magnesium (which occurs in drinkers and is a big setup for seizures)
He does need to mention this to his physician and get this evaluated.
