Brain Tumor & Pregnancy: What You Need to Know

i have had a brain tumour since i was 15 im now 21. i was just wondering if the pregnancy will affect the tumour in anyway? i had stereotatic radio surgery treatment in 2005 n had the results that my tumour hadnt changed in size or anything. will it be safe?

My understanding is that the increased hormones during pregnancy can sometimes affect tumor size.  If your tumor is non-malignant, you may experience some growth which should subside after birth.  If your tumor is malignant but dormant, it may react unpredictably.  You should definitely consult with your oncologist about this.
