family history of breast cancer...The first famous hospital finds micro
calcifications in left breast and say come back in six months to do a repeat...
since i was alittle worried I went to yet another famous hospital in Boston
where I live...they repeated the test 2 months later,, same findings as first
hospital yet tell me I need to get an invasive biopsy..Nothing changed on the
films...yet they want to do surgery in 2 weeks,,, less time than 6 months that
first hospital said to come back to do a repeat,,, because I have no baseline
and the calcifications were so tiny less than 2 mm....what do I do??? do I have
an invasive biopsy,, when I probably don't have breast cancer...The second
hospital says 4 out of 5 come back bening...what would you do????
AnswerWell I have not seen your pictures myself. But evidently the second hospital seems to follow a "better safe than sorry" attitude and I can not find anything wrong with that in principle. If done as a needle biopsy the "invasion" is minimal. So I do suggest that you follow that advice! Good luck!
