Find Affordable PET Scans in Sweden | Private Healthcare Options
QuestionI have headaches, very strong ones and now lately i am experiencing pain in my back and legs. I want to take a PET/CT scan in Sweden as it is cheaper than here in Norway. If you know of a private institution where i can take a PET/CT scan in Sweden please let me know. I have done tons of searches online, still haven't found one yet. There is one here in Norway and it costs 18000 NOK/ $3200, from Aleris. Very expensive here. This woman took a scan in Sweden http://www.adressa.no/forbruker/helse/article27356.ece so i know there are such scanners in Sweden but can't find them. I hope you can help. Thankyou
AnswerYou can check with the Sophiahemmet private hospital here in Stockholm. They MAY have one. Every university hospital here in Sweden has that facility but you need a referral from your doctor for any of them. The phone no. to Sophiahemmet is 00-46-8-4062000. Though I doubt that it is cheap here either. However both here and in Norway it should in general be covered by your health insurance. Good luck!
