QuestionQUESTION: i am diagnosed with dcis which is arising in the background of a pappilloma. what is the prognosis and treatment of this type of dcis.it is grade 2 er pr positive.
ANSWER: The prognosis is very likely to be good provided it is treated in an optimal way. How big is it? If small enough a surgical lumpectomy leaving almost all of the breast in place followed by radiation therapy of the affected breast and its lymph node stations and maybe hormonal therapy should be enough. Good luck!
