Post-Pill Bleeding: What to Expect After Stopping Birth Control

I finished my pack of birth control and have decided to use alternate birth
control methods going forward.  I got my period as normal during what
would be the non-active pill week.  About 6 days after the last day of a 5-day
period, I've experienced some very very light bleeding.  Is that a common
symptom after coming off the pill? I was on them for about 5 months?  Or
should I be concerned about other causes?

Your body is trying to get used to getting off the pill. That means it was used to artificial hormones and now you sort of surprised it. It takes a bit of time for normal cycling to return after being on the pill. For more information on normal cycling check http://www.irh.org/nfp.htm
