QuestionHello, i started taking birth control a month ago and havent missed a pill and i always take them at the same time. But i was wondering how do i know if the pill is actually working for me? Is there anyway to know if the pill is actually working?
AnswerAs far as I know, there would be no way of telling if it is working. Are you sexually active? I don't recommend hormonal birth control. There are risks and side effects to every kind of hormonal birth control. Here are some side effects of the pill.
Irregular bleeding or spotting
Nausea
Breast tenderness
Weight gain and/or water retention
Spotty darkening of the skin
Mood changes
If you have any of these effects, call your doctor immediately.
Abdominal pains (severe)
Chest pain or shortness of breath
Headaches (severe)
Eye problems, such as blurred vision
Severe leg or arm pain or numbness
