Yaz Birth Control and Potential Pregnancy: What to Do?

Hi. i`ve been on yaz birth control pills for about 2 weeks and some days. There was already many times i`ve taken the pill extra late. I feel like im pregnant and was throwing up yesterday but could of been food posining  since im not sure i dont want to stop the pills. If i am pregnant will the yaz birth control pills affect me or the baby in any way? THANK YOU !

Hi Max,
Assuming you started the Yasmin during a period, pregnancy is very unlikely.  If you didn't start during a period, then you might be pregnant.  However, a pregnancy test will generally be positive by the time you get any symptoms of pregnancy.  As far as we know the pill usually won't affect the baby in case you were pregnant, but no one is completely sure of that.  If you think you might be pregnant, get a test (first morning urine).  If it's negative, I think it's safe to continue the pills.
