Condom Breakage & Pregnancy Risk: What to Do?
QuestionHi, I am ovulatiing and that is usually my most aroused time. So my hubby and I have sex a lot during ovulation...well I am ovulating now and we had sex earlier. We use condoms as our form of birth control and there was a very small tear at the tip of the condom. He did ejaculate inside of me, but I saw that there was quite a bit of it at the end of the condom. Could this mean that the condom caught the cum, or is there still a possibility that semen got inside of my vagina? I just had a baby 3 months ago and when we were trying to get pregnant, quite a bit of semen would come out of me when I went to the bathroom right after sex. This time, it didnt seem like any came out in the toilet. Does this mean none got into my vagina? What are the odds, how high is the possibility of getting pregnant this way? Again, I am ovulating so I know there is a higher risk of pregnancy. Please help! Thanks you in advance.
AnswerIt sounds like most of the semen stayed in the condom, but there is probably no good way to know how much leaked into your vagina. Since you're near ovulation time, there may be enough sperm for you to get pregnant. I would probably take emergency contraception (like Plan B) if you really would not like to be pregnant. It may not be necessary, but there is no way to really know.
