I have had an manual suction abortion on monday and i am still bleeding but not heavy and getting some cramps this is my first abortion but i do have 2 kids my question is am i was about 3 weeks pregnant when i did it would anything bad happen to me and if i do get pregnant in proberly next 2 years will i have a safe pregnancy?

Answer
Dear Samanta,
Manual Aspiration abortion (also called Manual Vacuum Aspiration) is the most safe method of abortion that can be done so you can be confidant that you will be 100% safe for future pregnancy. Manual Aspiration is considered a non surgical procedure, and is safer than both the surgical abortion (also called D&C abortion or Electric Vacuum Abortion) and the non surgical abortion pill. All abortions are very safe, and it is a myth that normal surgical abortions cause problems with fertility.  However, with surgical abortion (not Manual Aspiration abortion)there is a very rare complication that can interfere with fertility.  This complication is because the doctor inappropriately scraped the uterus too much and it caused the lining to be damaged. This is not possible with a Manual Aspiration Abortion because there is no scraping.  There is no scarring at all from a Manual Aspiration so it cannot interfere with future pregnancies.

I am happy that you were able to find a Manual Aspiration procedure where you live.  The main problem with Aspiration Abortion is that it can be difficult to find.  For my other readers, the best source to find the Aspiration Abortion is at EarlyAbortion.com.

Good luck with your decisions,
