AnswerDear Cee Cee,
Typical bleeding after an abortion is most commonly less than a week, but up to 3 weeks is still completely normal. At this point, you are still in a normal range. If you keep bleeding for another week, I would call them again and let them know. You should also call them if you are having heavy cramping - this would indicate that you have some retained tissue or a clot that has not passed. Are you on any birth control? The injection can cause this kind of bleeding. Pills should not.
I hope this is helpful.
