Persistent Bleeding After Abortion: Causes & When to Seek Help

Hi, I have not stopped bleeding since my abortion, i have gotten my abortion done May 30th.2007 and went on the depo shot right away, so i waited 6 months (after the 2 depo's) so after those to depo's, i didn't take the 3rd one, to see if it was from the depo...but i am still bleeding and it is now January of 2008. I am getting worried...cause i have been bleeding for to long now. Any suggestions? they had refered me again, but my appoinment isn't for another month, i can't wait that long anymore.

I don't know what it is that's making you bleed for SEVEN MONTHS straight, but whatever it is cannot be good. You need to see a doctor immediately. Tell them what you told me - that you have not stopped bleeding for seven months, and they will see you right away. You might want to try another doctor or go to the emergency room if your doctor still doesn't take this seriously.
