Acrylic Nails & Formaldehyde: What You Need to Know

I heard that having acyrlic can cause problems if they contain formaldahyde is this true?

Hi Linda. Well I have not heard it is in acrylic more of polish and nail hardeners. Formaldahyde and Tolulene can cause problems in that they dehydrate your nails to make them "stronger and lasting".It causes your nails to become more brittle which is pretty self defeating.
