QuestionGood Evening:
Thank you for allowing me to ask a question. I will be 50 years old in March and I have noticed that my upper lip has a grayish tint to it. It seems that someday's it looks worse than other days. Can you give me any advice on how to even out this problem and what you think might be causing it. Thanks
Wanda
AnswerHello Wanda,
This grayish tint on your upper lip reveals a disbalance in your body. The best way, in my opinion, to even this out is to address its cause, which is internal and subtle. The best technique to address this type of problem is acupuncture, and more specifically the 5 elements acupuncture. So I would strongly encourage you to see an experienced acupuncturist who should be able to tell you why this grayish tint appeared and what he/she can do to make it go away.
On the other hand, I would give you the usual recommendations as far as detox, diet and natural skin care. You can find more details about everything on my previous answers or in the articles and home spa recipes you will find here:

If you get back to me with the diagnosis of your acupuncturist, I will be able to give you more precise advices to help you in a more targeted (and efficient) way. Meanwhile, drink good green tea, plenty of water and start taking EFAs softgels like borage oil or black currant oil and eat walnuts. Try to avoid chemical moisturizers and foundations and go for creams with Shea butter, Wild Musk Rose oil, Borage oil, Apricot kernel oil.
I wish I could tell you more, but that is all I can think about for now to help you.
Don't hesitate to get back to me with more details.
I hope you find this answer helpful.
Have a beautiful day,
Take good care
