Every woman yearns to look beautiful, no matter how much effort she has to do. We all love experimenting different colors, textures and designs for our clothes, accessories etc. Then, why not try something creative for our eyes too? Today, I have a feather inspired eye makeup tutorial for you to learn. It is perfect for fantasy themed parties. The peacock feather eye makeup is an amalgamation of blues and purples.
Let’s begin the makeup tutorial
Apply an eye cream to hydrate your eye area. This step will help in keeping control of drier patches, which can arise after concealer application. Then, take a full coverage concealer and conceal dark circles to create a flawless base. Set the concealer with a compact powder to prevent creasing of the product.
Let’s begin the eye makeup. Apply a creamy nude base in your eye lid area to lighten the eyelid pigmentation and increase the vibrancy of the eyeshadow to be applied later. Then, softly smudge the creamy base with a stiff flat eyeshadow brush. Here, I have used the Oriflame nude eye Kajal.
Apply a shimmery high frosty white eyeshadow to the innermost corner of your eyelid. Pat the eyeshadow slowly without sweeping it as it will lighten the color intensity. Here, I have used a shimmery white eyeshadow from the 120 eyeshadow palette.
Apply a creamy aqua blue eye liner in the center of your eyelid. This will lighten the eyelid pigmentation and increase the vibrancy of the eyeshadows to be applied later. Then, softly smudge the creamy base with a stiff flat eyeshadow brush. Here, I have used the Tips and Toes Kajal in blue.
Then, apply a shimmery bright aqua blue eyeshadow to the center of your eyelid. Use soft, gentle strokes and blend the two eye shadows applied for a seamless finish. Here, I have used the Miss Claire eyeshadow for the aqua blue eyeshadow.
Take a matte cobalt bright eyeshadow and apply it to the outermost corner of your eyes. Then, use a fluffy blending brush and pick a bright purple eyeshadow and start defining the crease. Do not bring the eyeshadow towards the inner corner of the eyes. Restrict the application only to the middle of the eyelid. Here, I have used a cobalt blue eyeshadow from the 120 eyeshadow palette and Lakme Tanjore Rush eyeshadow palette for the purple eyeshadow.
Reapply the same shimmery frosty white eyeshadow again to the innermost corner, if it has faded because of the blending in the previous step. Then, apply a matte cream eyeshadow to the brow bone area of the eye to highlight the eyes. This will also bring a lift to your eyes and gives an illusion of bigger eyes. Here, I have used the Elf 144 eyeshadow palette for the matte cream eyeshadow. Then, apply the same white eyeshadow to the inner corner of the eye, aqua blue eyeshadow to the center of the lower lash line and the purple eyeshadow to the outermost corner of the lower lash line.
Apply the same cobalt blue eyeshadow again to the outermost corner of the eyes and the lower lash line corner to define the eyes stronger. Then, use a black liquid eyeliner and create smaller random dots all over the crease area of your eyes to recreate the texture in the feather. Draw a few feather-like strokes at the outer v of the eyes to give a fluffy feather like finish to the eye makeup. Line your eyes, thinly or thickly according to your preference. Here, I have used the Kryolan liquid eyeliner in black. Apply lots of mascara to complete the eye makeup look.
