Rihanna is about to launch her first signature perfume next month. The fragrance named "Reb'l Fleur" is described as “a musky mix of vanilla, patchouli and amber”.
It seems that Rihanna is joining the
ever-growing number of celebrities that have a signature perfume.
The 22-year-old singer from Barbados is set to launch her first
fragrance next month. For her new project, reports say that RiRi
has teamed up with Parlux Fragrances Inc. The perfume is described
as “a musky mix of vanilla, patchouli and amber”.
The name of the perfume is Reb'l Fleur and is inspired by the
singer's grandmother. “My grandmother in Barbados used to call me
her Rebel Flower,” Rihanna told People.com.
As for the special scent, Rihanna said that over the years she
looked for that unique scent able to suit and reflect her
personality. "Over the years, I layered many different scents to
get something that was truly my own. But I wanted… something that
said, ‘Rihanna was here'. Something delicious and special, a
fragrance with subtle hints that linger and leave a sexy
memory."
The singer made a statement in a press release saying that she
wanted to come up with something new and bring a fragrance
characterized by uniqueness when it comes to its scent and for the
bottle too.
“I believe a woman should dare to be different - willing to live
her life for herself and not for other people,” Rihanna said in the
press release. “This fragrance is about my passion for
individuality - being expressive and empowering, yes, but also
emotional and intriguing. I promise you Reb'l Fleur will not be
easily forgotten”, Rihanna added.
According to "People", the musky mix of vanilla, patchouli and
amber will be released in US department stores in February and it
will retail for $49 for a 1.7 oz bottle.
