Having a ready supply of ice for a party is a must when entertaining, but refrigerator ice makers can take several days to create enough ice. The Sunpentown SPT Portable Ice Maker IM-100 can make up to 35 lbs. of ice in one day and 12 ice cubes in less than 10 minutes. Plus this ice maker doesn't need a drain or a water pump so you can just plug it in and use it. However, it does require cleaning from time to time.
Open the lid of the ice maker. Pour 1 cup white vinegar into the Sunpentown ice maker's water intake section. Pour the other cup of white vinegar into the ice holding section of the ice maker.
Allow the vinegar to sit for five to 10 minutes. Wipe down the inside of the ice maker with a cloth and the vinegar.
Dump out the vinegar and fill each section with warm water. Use the cloth to rinse the sides of the ice maker. Pour out the water.
Wipe down the exterior of the ice maker with a damp cloth to clean it.
