Answer
Hi Afzal
Remember that muscle weighs on a scale 3 times what fat does - so it often very common to first gain weight on a scale when you start an exercise programme and start converting fat into muscle.  You can read much more about this at:  http://www.ditch-diets-live-light.com/benefits-of-fitness.html  Having said that though I really don't think that BMI is the most helpful measure of how you are doing - I think that percentage body fat is a much better indication of health.  With this in mind, here's a link where you can put in your measurements and have your % body fat calculated:  http://www.ditch-diets-live-light.com/body-fat-calculation-and-health.html

I'm afraid that the whole calorie burning part of your question is something I'm not qualified to answer but I think you may find reading: http://www.ditch-diets-live-light.com/basal-metabolic-rate.html to be fascinating reading which will inform you because the answer to this question depends on so many factors.
