Post-Roux en Y Burping: Causes, Concerns, and When to Consult Your Surgeon

I had the roux en y on July 8th. I keep having burping with a foul taste and odor. Is this common?

Foul burping is not a terribly common symptom in my experience.  If you are able to drink liquids comfortably and stay hydrated, I would just discuss it with your surgical team at your next appointment.  I think the odds are it will get better with some time, so I am guessing that no immediate testing will be required.
