Cloudy Aquamarine Ring: Cleaning Concerns & Repair Options

Dear Steven,

After a couple of professional and self brush cleanings with the recommended soap and water, my aquamarine ring has become clouded. It appears that the bristles that were used to clean it have scratched its surface. What should I do and what type of professional should I go to to have this fixed?

Hi,

That sounds very strange. Aquamarine is a hard durable stone that will not scratch that way.
The clouding is strange as well it sounds like there is a residue being left on the stone.

If it is scratched it will need to be re-polished by someone like my self.  If you want it done email me.
