Adult-Only Reception: Politeness & Capacity Management

We are reaching our limit on guest because of our room size and thought of having an adult only reception. This would allow for about another 20-30 adults. How do we word this or is it to tacky?

Hi Jen, It's not tacky at all. In fact there are many receptions that way. I have heard several disc jockeys say that receptions are not really a place for kids due to some of the lyrics of music that is played.
All you do is on the reception card put Adult Reception instead of reception. Then on the inner envelope just put the names of the adults you are inviting.
