Wedding Budget: Can You Have a Formal Wedding for $25,000?

The Bride has has a budget of 25,000 dollars. She wants to have a formal wedding with about 125 guest in a short period of time. Would this be a good reason to get a planner or would this just be to costly?

A budget of $25,000 is a good amount.  125 guests make a small enough crowd to do a lot with that budget.  The key phrase "short period of time" makes it seem more important than ever to get a planner.  Because of their relationships with vendors, they are more likely to get you that coveted florist, caterer & photographer, that may be too busy otherwise.  If you are adept at hosting galas & events, this may not be necessary, but it is a wonderful luxury.  Prices for event planners vary throughout the country.  You can find a package and a planner that works well for you.  You may want to check out the items that we have from Mindy Weiss, the premiere wedding planner in the US to all the stars.  A good planning book, response card organizer and sticky notes for those fabulous ideas that you find in magazines will make the planning a lot less stressful.
